Sara Debevec is LA based writer, performance artist and curator. She is also the founder of Eye Dream TV, an immersive live talk show that streams from galleries and art events in LA and beyond. 

Sara was born in Belgrade, Serbia and she grew up in Poland, where she acquired a Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma at The British School of Warsaw. She holds an MSc in Urban Studies with a focus on Site-Specific Art from University College London and a BA in Sociology from Goldsmiths College London.

In 2008 she joined The Roundhouse Young Artists Collective in London where she was trained by award-winning Marisa Carnesky

in performance art and circus cabaret leading her to become a solo performance artist and perform at prestigious festivals and venues in UK such as Glastonbury Festival, Latitude Festival, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Southbank Center, Battersea Arts Center, Royal Vauxhall Tavern and Old Vic Tunnels.

Between 2011 and 2015, Sara was selected by European Commission to take part in several Youth in Action residencies in Spain, Turkey and Hungary, where she trained in physical and site-specific theatre and performed at Gólya Presszó in Budapest, Greenhouse in Berlin, Plaza Alpujarra in Orgiva and Konak Square in Izmir. She also performed at immersive theatre productions including Carnesky's Tarotrdome in England and The Shells-Ausflug nach 

Neu-Friedenwald in Germany.

In 2015 she was an artist in residence at Salem Art Works in New York where her work took a new turn and she started creating installations and video performances incorporating projection, sculpture and immersive art. In the US her art has been showcased at venues and festivals such Pioneer Works, Glasshouse, Panoply Performance Laboratory, 18th Street Arts, PAM Residencies, Think Tank Gallery, Superchief Gallery, Desert Daze Festival, Bombay Beach Biennale, University of Pittsburgh, Automata Gallery and The New York Poetry Festival.

She has been writing poetry and fiction from an early age and in 2012 her work was featured in a collection of poetry published by Antlers Press, 'Bad Brains.' Her blogging career started at The Southbank Centre in London where she was a blogger in residence between 2008 and 2010 covering poetry performances and events.

​

She is currently a blogger for No Proscenium and she is an art writer for Southbay Magazine and Art Confidential. Sara also curates art and music events and actively performs and hosts informative panels at creative venues, studios, and galleries around town.
