Collaboration with artist Ariel Kleinberg on creating a Site Specific Ritual Performance against the backdrop of Manhattan skyline.
Vala was a piece Sara made in collaboration with artists Ariel Kleinberg and Andrea Devina Clinton. The performance took place on 9 October 2015 in New York. The piece centres upon movement and dance. It was inspired by  an ancient Indian myth about gods, demons and rubies.
This was an immersive theatre piece directed by Marisa Carnesky. Sara was one of twelve performance artists who creatively contributed to her role as a Tarot card. It was set in a small model village where audience members had their Tarot card readings performed to them in different houses by the cards they picked. This installation took place over 4 days between 8 and 11 of September 2011 during an annual music and theatre festival - Bestival- on the Isle of Wight in England.
In October 2011 Sara took part in theatre training programme organised by the European Commission in Izmir, Turkey. The training was entitled: Theatre as a tool for Intercultural Dialogue. The focus of the training was to explore how theatrical work can be a useful tool to explore relationships between cultures and to highlight differences in a creative way. The training finale was a performance which took place in Konak Square on 26 September 2011.
In November 2012, Sara took part in a theatre training programme organised by the European Commission in Orgiva, Spain. During the training, participants analysed youth unemployment in rural areas of the EU by recognizing individual differences and through a gender perspective in the context of the Youth in Action Programme. The training finale was a performance which took place in Plaza Alpujarra Performance on 3 December 2012.
Golya, District 8,Budapest: Creation of site specific performances in collaboration with 18 performers, directors, writers and visual artists from France, Ireland, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy and Serbia. The project was led by Belgian Dramaturg Bart Capella and Hungarian Director Marta Schermann as a response to the gentrification process of the 8th District in Budapest. The performance took place in Golya, Budapest, Hungary on 17 April 2015.
In 2013, over a period of a month, Sara worked with 6 different artists under direction of Elsa Philipe in the making of a short film about the destructive aspect of consumer society and mass media.
The Shells – Ausflug nach NeuFriedenwald, Immersive Theatre Performance took place in June 2015 in Berlin. Sara devised and performed in an immersive theatre show inspired by David Lynch’s TV-drama Twin Peaks. Revisiting the show from a feminist point of view, the performance looked closely at who inflicts violence and who suffers from it. The performance created an experiential space where structures and boundaries defined by society were called into question and transgressed.
Awakening
This was an improvised piece performed live in February 2020 by Sara Debevec and Georgy Gusev. It was recorded by Tao Ruspoli at his residence in Yucca Valley.

The piece explores animals as god like creatures and the point in time when animals transitioned from being considered godly to simply becoming creatures we like to objectify, dominate and abandon.

LIC Ritual Performance
Collaboration with artist Ariel Kleinberg on creating a Site Specific Ritual Performance against the backdrop of Manhattan skyline.LIC Ritual Performance, March 2016, Installation and Live Art Performance, performed between 9am and 5pm at the backdrop of Manhattan skyline. LIC Ritual Performance explores everyday urban rituals which result in the accumulation of water pollutants in the East River. LIC Ritual Performance traces the formation of the river over 11,000 years up until the modern day and its current anthropocene. The duratonal aspect of the performance was used to emphasize how the river has to "work" to clean itself from the human mess in the same way humans need to work to survive.
